Frequently asked questions
The most common questions from developers evaluating Orux AI.
Is Orux AI really OpenAI-compatible?
Yes. Point any OpenAI SDK at https://orux.top/api/v1 and pass an Orux AI sk-app-... key. Chat completions, streaming, tool calls, JSON mode, images — all work without code changes.
Do you train on my prompts?
No. We never use your prompts or responses to train any model. We do not store request or response payloads by default — only metadata (tokens, latency, cost).
How is pricing calculated?
Every model has a public Credits price per million tokens (or per image / per second / per song for non-chat modalities). 1 USD = 200 Credits at a fixed exchange rate. The dashboard shows real-time spend.
What happens if an upstream provider goes down?
We route around it. Each model id can map to multiple upstream channels with priority and failover. Circuit breakers cut traffic to a failing channel for 30s; healthy channels keep serving.
Can I bring my own upstream API key?
Yes, on the Scale tier and above. Orux AI will route your requests through your own provider key while still giving you the unified observability and billing layer.
Do Credits expire?
No. Credits never expire. They are non-refundable except where required by law.
How do I cancel?
You can stop using the Service at any time. Unused Credits remain on the account; delete the account from Settings to forfeit them.
Where can I see status?
We're standing up a public status page at status.orux.top. In the meantime, the dot in the footer reflects real health checks.
